Highway's Gmail Plugin, the latest addition to the comprehensive Highway for Email suite.
Highway for Email was developed in response to the escalation of email-based fraud following the FMCSA data breach, which exposed the freight industry to heightened risks of identity theft and email spoofing. Economic pressures have also accelerated load operations, increasing brokers' vulnerability. The Gmail Plugin is designed to seamlessly integrate into brokers' existing email workflows, enhancing security without compromising operational speed.
Highway's Gmail Plugin, tailored for brokerages using Google Workspace, enhances email security with a sophisticated system that classifies emails using a color-coded risk assessment—red for potential fraud, yellow for caution, and green for verified communications. This feature helps brokers quickly verify sender identities, flag potential fraud within Highway’s ecosystem, and reduce the time spent vetting carriers.
Beyond simple fraud detection, the plugin provides detailed insights into the sender’s background and their association with carriers, displaying critical information such as fraud alerts, physical address, and safety ratings. Users can also directly request sender verification from their inbox, streamlining communication and enhancing trust.
"Highway for Gmail™ brings the trusted power of Highway directly into the broker's inbox, the critical first point of entry for many fraudulent activities. This tool is designed to eliminate subjectivity in carrier selection, providing our users with objective, data-driven insights to make informed decisions quickly and safely."
