Role Description:
Freight brokers put an incredible amount of trust in Highway and that trust will be extended to you. This role will report directly to the Director of Product Management and is for a person who works with heart, hustle, and a sense of urgency. The Product Manager for the Load Compliance suite of products will drive the development of solutions that enhance the visibility and security of freight across North America. This offering includes a robust exception management process to effectively track loads and ensure their protection throughout the entire lifecycle.
Your role:
- Execute on product strategy - Execute on product strategy that aligns with Highway’s overall business goals, collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders—including the C-suite—on product discovery and requirement definition.
- Manage and deliver the Load Compliance product deliverables and timelines associated. This includes defining product requirements and prioritizing features, working the development team to execute.
- Work closely with the development team to define technical requirements, plans of execution and detailed action plans associated.
- Work closely with the GTM (go to market) team on how to position the Load Compliance products, including launch plans, customer success strategic plays, and essential key integrations for the success of the product.
- Work with customers directly, with a deep understanding of the technical capabilities of the Load Compliance products’ functionality, to further any key partnerships, integrations and adoption of the product.
- Work with teams to accomplish business goals associated with Load Compliance including business metrics defined monthly and quarterly.
- Work closely with a dynamic team of skilled product managers and creative designers to develop innovative solutions.
- Delivery along the product life cycle - You will execute and hit milestones across the product life cycle, from ideation to launch to post-launch support. This includes working with cross-functional teams to develop, launch, and iterate on products.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a product manager in a highly technical capacity, with a deep understanding of associated technical requirements in product development.
- Proven experience in a fast paced, high growth product environment.
- Background in engineering is highly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Strong ability to lead through influence, debate, and storytelling.
- Love for a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.
- Some background in the logistics industry and knowledge of logistics software systems is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- Eagerness to get in the weeds and sweat the details.
- Experience with the agile methodology in the software development life cycle.
- Track record working closely with developers and other technical team members.
- Deep organization and execution capabilities in areas of influence and in collaboration across stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability in excellent decision quality, critical thinking, and creative problem solving skills.
